The product that was designed in this project is a service that exists in multiple parts. The service aims to help the user with being more mindful of their mental state in order to reduce overstimulation. It also gives feedback to the user, allowing them to see what causes the overstimulation, further reducing overstimulation in the long run. The service is based on the KrachtPlanner that the co-designer uses and exists of different parts that work together.

The KrachtPlanner is currently sold on the website of the co-designer, but the process is outdated and causes a lot of stress. Because of this, a mockup is made of a more modern website in which the sale of the KrachtPlanner is automated. Making the process of ordering a KrachtPlanner easier also allows more people to buy a KrachtPlanner and see if it works for them. It can serve as an introduction to the service we made.

The service is a digital version of the KrachtPlanner that communicates with a watch that gives the users notifications based on their schedule, asking them to reflect on their mental state and offering tips based on their input.

 

Parts of the service

For the service 5 parts are designed that are connected to each other. This is the webshop, the physical watch and the 3 applications that consist of the website, the phone app and the watch application.

The webshop: is the most separate part from the other parts. The webshop sells the physical KrachtPlanner as an introduction to the digital planner. These digital planners are in the application of the website and phone app.

The physical watch: is a product that can be used with the watch application. The watch is optimized to the co-designers needs. The existing watches were too complicated to use because of the many options. Also, the watch application could not work together with the existing watches. The design process of the watch consists of shape and style research, ideation, concepts and prototyping.

The applications: consist of 3 different mock-ups of the website, phone app and watch application. The website and phone app have the same functionality. They have a login, agenda, feedback, profile, to-do list and setting section.

The watch application communicates with the website and phone app. The website and phone application give the interval of the notification to the watch application. The user can put in tips on the website or phone app that are given by the watch application as feedback. The answers of the user in the watch application are saved on the website and phone app.
