The first phase of the project is dedicated to researching the co-designer and their condition. To this end, a context mapping is performed, which includes:
 

• Literature study

  • Societal trends and the changing perspective on autism spectrum disorder

  • Theoretical introduction to the disability of the user

  • Introduction to assistive technologies

 

• Engaging with the practice 

  • Human-centered design 

  • Co-design/participatory design

 

• Visual storyboard of potential use scenario

 

• Persona of co-designer

This analysis serves as a way to understand the condition of our co-designer from a medical point of view, and how it affects her day-to-day life.
